Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Position Overview
The Client Technologies Technician – Entry will support the headquarters location with end-user technical assistance, endpoint deployment, device imaging, and daily troubleshooting. Working under the supervision of IT leadership, this role is responsible for configuring desktops, laptops, tablets, and related peripherals using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). The technician ensures successful device imaging, verifies BitLocker key storage in Active Directory and Intune, and confirms all devices check into MECM as required. Responsibilities also include documenting assigned assets, resolving hardware and software issues, performing equipment maintenance, and supporting the removal and disposal of outdated equipment. This is a fully onsite position requiring 40 hours per week.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Responsibilities
- Build and configure desktops, laptops, and tablets using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Verify successful BitLocker encryption key storage in Active Directory and Intune.
- Ensure MECM Client installation and that endpoints remain on the network for at least 2.5 hours post-imaging.
- Confirm installation of all software listed on the build sheet.
- Document all assets (desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, etc.) in the designated IT asset management system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues; log work in the Help Desk ticketing system.
- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate vendor repairs as needed.
- Assist with removal and disposal of obsolete equipment following proper procedures.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Monthly Responsibilities
- Connect backup tablets to the network for Patch Tuesday updates, following the scheduled update window.
- Ensure tablets remain powered on and connected through the update period; log in with local account before shutdown.
- Power and charge iPads for the same window (login not required).
Required Skills & Experience
- 4 years experience in desktop and network systems support.
- 2 years experience in hardware/software installation, computer deployment, and device repair.
- 2 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Strong knowledge of desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, printers, and scanners.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite (Edge, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Windows OS.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with a help desk ticketing system.
- Familiarity with enterprise networks.
- Experience with Active Directory or Intune.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (may substitute for experience).
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $29.81 - $36.68 per hour
