POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for managing payroll processing while supporting core human resources functions, including employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, recruiting support, and HR operations. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll, maintains compliance with federal and state regulations, and supports a positive employee experience.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for managing the biweekly payroll processing while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws; Manages year-end payroll processes including W-2 preparation and reporting
- Coordinate all payroll changes including new hires, terminations, earnings, and benefit deductions; Administers benefit enrollments, changes, and open enrollment processes with appropriate benefit vendors
- Maintain accurate electronic personnel and HRIS records, ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Provide support for the full employee lifecycle processes including recruiting, onboarding, training and development, retention, and offboarding
- Assist with recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screenings, and interview coordination
- Facilitates new hire onboarding and orientation
- Provide day-to-day HR operational support, responding to employee inquiries and supporting managers with HR-related needs
- Process leaves of absence and workers compensation first reports of injury
- Support the performance management processes
- Process monthly inovices to Accounts Payable
- Assist with policy implementation, updates, and handbook compliance
- Assist with audits, workers’ compensation claims, and unemployment claims
- Works with the Senior Director on employee engagement and development strategies through forward thinking program design and implementation
Requirements:
- Associate degree in human resources management or business administration, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of payroll processing and general human resources experience
- Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing ADP modules
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FMLA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
