In this role, you’ll troubleshoot and remediate operating system update failures, manage software updates and removals, and support patching and upgrades while keeping work documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide desktop computer support for end users.
- Install application updates on end users’ computers.
- Troubleshoot and remediate operating system update failures.
- Remove unsupported or vulnerable software from end users’ computers.
- Document all work for future reference.
- Follow quality standards during desktop support activities.
- Install and support software patches and upgrades.
- Use remote technology and commands to perform desktop support tasks.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
- Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Perform computer administration functions with minimal direction and/or technical support.
- Uninstall, repair, or update software and operating systems.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and remediation via remote support.
- Serve as a vendor technical liaison when required.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service experience.
- Windows operating systems and products knowledge.
- Previous State of Maine experience required.
