Education & Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age to work with certain equipment, perform various tasks, and must provide documentation of obtaining a state driver’s license recognized by the Commonwealth of PA to operate a DAP owned or controlled golf cart. Previous experience preferred but not necessary. Candidate must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn and be able to work independently as well as with others. Must be able to work in various weather conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, cold. Must be able to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally, utilizing a two-person lift.
Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, general presentation and beautification of the park and its grounds. Duties include but are not limited to trash removal, watering and maintaining plants, hosing, various cleaning tasks, event preparation, and use of hand or power tools, or equipment. Starting rate of pay is $11.25/hour.
Essential Functions:
• Operate power equipment such as blowers, mowers, trimmers, power-tiller, clippers; operates hand tools such as pruners, lopping shears, garden hoses, axes, brooms, shovels, rakes, etc. Notifies Director of Operations or Water Park Facility Manager of daily performance, malfunctions, or safety concerns.
• Assists with site preparation of landscaped and hardscaped areas within park.
• Assists with general repair and maintenance of park grounds, landscaping, and midway clean up.
• Assists with the removal of trash, brush, debris, and tree branches from park grounds.
• Assists with the preparation and set up for picnic, catering, park events and team member functions.
• Monitors outdoor and midways for safety hazards (slip, trip and fall hazards)
• Operate and transport equipment, supplies, in company vehicles or golf carts
• Utilize fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides to maintain lawns, plants, flowers, flower beds, weeds; water all flowers, plants, trees, shrubs as needed.
• Follow safe and proper lifting techniques
• Wear proper safety equipment when required such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, etc.
• Must work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat humidity, rain, hail, cold.
