What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Kitchen Bar-B-Q Cook position at DelGrosso's Amusement Park?
Education & Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with child labor laws. Must provide documentation of obtaining a state driver’s license recognized by the Commonwealth of PA to operate a DAP-owned or controlled golf cart. Must maintain a well-groomed appearance at all times, following all uniform regulations. Must have a positive attitude, a willingness to provide excellent customer service, and be able to work in a team atmosphere. Starting rate of pay is $17.00 an hour.
Summary: Prepare and cook raw product on a rotisserie. DelGrosso’s Amusement Park operates seven (7) days per week during the season. This position offers flexible scheduling based on business needs and employee availability. Team Members are not expected to work all seven days, and we make every effort to accommodate individual schedules. Availability for weekends and holidays is preferred. Hours will generally fall between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Starting rate of pay is $17.00 an hour.
Essential Functions:
• Prepare and cook food on a rotisserie in outdoor weather conditions.
• Prepare and serve food according to stand/department policies and procedures.
• Ensure food is handled and prepared according to National Food Safety standards to prevent cross-contamination.
• Ensure proper food presentation and quality.
• Ensure food is prepared to correct internal temperatures.
• Work as part of a team to prep large quantities of food within designated timeframes.
• Safely operate a golf cart as directed/needed.
• Clean storage areas, serving areas, kitchen equipment, and preparation areas according to department procedures.
• Rotate and label all food for proper storage according to department/stand procedures.
• Follow proper handwashing procedures.
• Use all required personal protective equipment, including hat and gloves, per department guidelines.
• Complete food safety training annually.
Other Responsibilities:
• Report to work at assigned times.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate honesty and reliability.
