What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Prep Cook position at DelGrosso's Amusement Park?
Educations & Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of culinary production experience in a high volume kitchen environment required. Must be proficient in all stations of the kitchen. Ability to stand for all/most of shift. Must enjoy and be productive working in a high-volume, fast-paced, guest-service oriented environment and maintain a positive attitude. Starting rate of pay is $13.50/hour.
Summary: Maintains a high standard of service at all times. Ensures all Health & Safety regulations are implemented, adhered to, and reviewed regularly. Ensure all products used are high quality. Produce all food according to recipes, correct portion size, and temperature. Ensure all areas are clean and sanitized. Assist culinary team in food preparation.
Essential Functions:
- Set up station with materials and supplies, and maintain availability of the same.
- Perform cooking duties and related production functions according to recipes. Ensure high food quality level that meets DelGrosso’s Amusement Park standard, and perform daily spot checks of all portioning tools.
- Provide daily documenting and recording of food production.
- Follows proper cleaning procedures set forth from the department and maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area.
- Transports products from one side of the park to the other. Requires lifting of heavy object and the use of a motor vehicle.
- Follow established safety standards using safe food handling guidelines. Ensure compliance of the State of Pennsylvania’s food safety program.
- Assist in with various kitchen duties as required.
- Must work in various weather and environmental conditions including but not limited to direct or indirect sunlight, heat, humidity, rain, hail, cold.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
- Report to and from work at assigned time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be honest and reliable.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
