Education & Qualifications: Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and basic mechanical knowledge of equipment and tools. A degree and/or advanced certification in one or more of the following areas is preferred: mechanics (automotive or industrial), pneumatics, carpentry, electrical work, small engine repair, plumbing, auto body, HVAC, welding, or a related field. A minimum of two (2) years of related experience in two or more of these areas is preferred. Candidates must be able to safely operate lawn equipment, construction equipment (including dump trucks, skid steers, and man lifts), and power tools. This role requires the ability to lift 75–100 pounds and to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb for extended periods. Candidates must be willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow. The ability to work nights and weekends during the operating season (variable schedule) is required. During the off-season, the schedule is typically Monday through Friday (6am – 2:30pm), with weekends as business needs dictate. Candidates must obtain a PA Class 2 Inspection Certification within one (1) year of hire. Position level (II, III, or IV) will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Essential Functions:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and installation tasks on park equipment, machinery, and buildings according to established standards
- Respond to equipment stoppages and mechanical breakdowns; troubleshoot and repair as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance on rides and equipment
- Conduct ride safety inspections in accordance with PA Ride Inspector guidelines
- Climb fixed and portable ladders and access confined or elevated areas to perform maintenance tasks
- Perform work in areas of mechanical or technical expertise, including welding as needed
- Safely operate and use hand and power tools, including:
- Read, review, and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation
- Visually inspect equipment for proper operation, including identifying irregularities in size, color, or condition
- Listen for and identify normal and abnormal equipment operating sounds
- Perform snow removal and general grounds maintenance as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
