The opportunity
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Vehicle Cleaner and Fueler to join our team at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Vehicle Cleaner and Fueler, you will be responsible for ensuring the entire fleet of vehicles is fueled and cleaned on a scheduled basis as directed. What will you do?
- Remove trash, clean seats, sweep and mop floors, and clean other interior areas of the vehicles.
- Wash and buff the outside windows of the vehicles.
- Drive vehicles between cleaning and storage areas or to field locations when required.
- Perform minor repairs and refurbishment to internal fixtures of the vehicles as directed.
- Always maintain a safe and clean working area in line with company regulations and policies.
More about you
- At least 3 months experience driving 35′ to 45′ vehicles.
- Minimum of 3 months experience using automatic bus vehicle wash systems.
- Possess a valid Florida Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with the ‘P’ Endorsement required.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Constant standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to remain standing for the entire length of shift.
- Requires work outdoors in all weather conditions and on coaches with the presence of fumes, dust, and noise.
