Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for part-time Cook Crew Members to join our team at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Cook Crew Member, you will help to bring the epic story of the U.S. space program to life.

What will you do?
- Handling, chopping, assembling, cooking and serving a wide variety of foods.
- Safely operate, sanitize, and clean all equipment, including that used for food service.
- Comply with all property and departmental standards as they pertain to safety and security.
- You may be regularly required to drive yourself to a remote work location where public transportation is not available, and you will be asked to show NASA credentials for entry.
- After 6 months of start date you are eligible to transfer to operations and retail departments.
- Drive a company vehicle as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
More about you
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
- Prior experience as a cook is required.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and to work on-call by being scheduled within 24 hours.
- Must be able to obtain a food handlers’ certification.
- Must be able to pass a Delaware North and NASA background check and receive a NASA ID badge.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to drive yourself to and from work.
Physical requirements
- Able to stand for long periods of time, including walking, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
- Be able to work in both hot and cold environments.
- Ability to handle or operate dangerous kitchen equipment.
- Able to lift 20 lbs and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders.
- Includes indoor and outdoor work environments.
