The opportunity
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring part-time Starbucks Crew Members to join our team at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As a Starbucks Crew Member, you will provide the Starbucks Experience to our guests by delivering prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.
*After 6 months from the start date, you are eligible to transfer to the operations and retail departments

What will you do?
- Act with guest service excellence, integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks
- Serve food and beverage items in correct proportions, following all health, safety, and proper sanitation guidelines
- Properly record all transactions via the point of sale system and inform guests of the amount owed
- Perform clean-up duties to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment
- Comply with all property and departmental standards as they pertain to safety and security
- You may be regularly required to drive yourself to a remote work location where public transportation is not available, and you will be asked to show NASA credentials for entry
- After 6 months of start date you are eligible to transfer to operations and retail departments
- You are required to successfully complete the mandatory Starbucks training. If the training is not successfully completed, you may be reassigned to a Food & Beverage Crew Member role
- Drive a company vehicle as needed

- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to follow product preparation and serving protocols consistently to meet company standards
- Attention to detail is essential
- Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays, and to work on-call by being scheduled within 24 hours
- Must be able to pass a Delaware North and NASA background check and receive a NASA ID badge
- Must be able to obtain a food handlers’ certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to drive yourself to and from work
Physical requirements
- Able to stand for long periods of time, including walking, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, and stretching
- Be able to work in both hot and cold environments
- Able to lift 20 lbs and up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
