What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Placing Agency Lead Specialist position at DCCCA?
Full-Time
Position Overview:
- Assists in training other CPA Specialists on the daily job functions of a CPA Specialist
- Facilitates support meetings and other activities for foster families and staff regularly
- Assists in updating the staff and foster family manuals
- Assists with interviewing/hiring new staff
- Assists supervisor by shadowing home visits of CPA Specialists
- Works closely with DCCCA Placement staff and assists in Placement Department as needed
- Carries an average caseload of 20 active families
- Accepts intake information regarding potential placements for children in care and match with foster families
- Conducts home visits and reviews documentation on foster children on a monthly basis
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor's degree in the Human Services field required
- Requires at least two years' experience working with children
- Committed to completing training and education required of a supervisor
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Must pass pre-employment background checks, fingerprinting and drug screening
