Director of Pool and Beach | Luxury Resort | Caribbean
A celebrated ultra-luxury resort situated on one of the Caribbean's most sought-after islands is seeking an accomplished and energetic Director of Pool and Beach to lead its aquatic and beach operations. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a multi-venue outdoor hospitality portfolio in a world-class setting.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Director of Outlets, the Director of Pool and Beach is a senior operational leadership role responsible for overseeing three pool venues and two beach locations. This is a highly hands-on position — as much at home in the sand and water as in the office — requiring a leader who can inspire a team of approximately 30 employees while maintaining the resort's luxury service standards across every guest touchpoint.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable managing administrative functions, driving revenue, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with their team on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Direct the day-to-day operations of three pool venues and two beach locations, ensuring seamless, luxury-standard service throughout.
- Maintain a consistent, visible presence across all operational areas — actively participating in service delivery and guest interaction.
- Uphold and elevate the resort's guest experience standards, responding proactively to guest needs and resolving issues with professionalism and care.
- Oversee the setup, presentation, and maintenance of all pool and beach areas to the highest aesthetic and safety standards.
- Plan and coordinate events, activations, and special experiences across pool and beach venues.
Financial Management
- Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and drive revenue performance across all venues.
- Monitor financial results and contribute to forecasting and strategic planning alongside the Director of Outlets.
- Identify opportunities to grow ancillary revenue through programming, activations, and partnerships.
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of approximately 30 staff, including 1 Assistant Manager, 3 Supervisors, and 2 Team Leads.
- Conduct performance reviews, implement development plans, and champion a culture of excellence, accountability, and team cohesion.
- Manage scheduling, rostering, attendance, and staffing levels to meet operational demands.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and high-energy work environment consistent with the resort's values.
Administration & Compliance
- Oversee departmental reporting, operational documentation, and administrative functions.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and licensing regulations applicable to pool and beach operations.
- Liaise cross-departmentally to ensure integrated, resort-wide guest experiences.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of management experience within luxury hospitality, with demonstrated responsibility for multi-outlet F&B or outdoor operations.
- F&B Managers with strong multi-outlet experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proven experience in a luxury resort environment is essential; Caribbean experience is strongly preferred.
- A natural leader who thrives in a high-energy, outdoor-facing operational environment — someone who leads by example and is not afraid to get their hands wet and feet sandy.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving revenue.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
- Physically active and comfortable working in an outdoor coastal environment.
- Single status preferred, though all candidates will be considered.
