Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree
- One (1) year of related experience
Please Note: In addition to regular operating hours, requested availability includes one evening until 6PM regularly and shifts until 7PM and Saturdays on occasion with notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with students/parents in person, over the phone and via email regarding all aspects of the financial aid process and eligibility requirements.
- Informs students and parents of financial aid availability, options, and regulations; assists students with financial aid application and other online documents.
- Reviews financial aid paperwork to ensure accuracy and completion and reviews files for federal verification.
- Maintains file/record system for assigned area; processes daily paperwork which includes the scanning and tracking of student information.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of financial aid programs, policies and procedures.
- Commitment to the principles of access and providing the best customer service and student support experience to families.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students and College personnel.
- Ability to maintain good working relationship with students, parents, and coworkers.
- Ability to organize work and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Possess computer skills and have knowledge of software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
