What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Specialist position at Daytona State College?
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree
- Six (6) months of experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively inform and assist with general inquiries and enrollment processes via phone, email, chat, and in person in a timely and efficient manner with a high level of customer service as all times
- Ensure that all communication via phones, messages, chats, emails for department and coverage of holiday and college closures are documented and tracked and issued out to the community with A customer service experience. Phone queues are in line with messages.
- Demonstrate knowledge regarding applicable Department / College and State / Federal regulations, policies and procedures relating to the enrollment process, appeals, graduation, scholarships, and other general knowledge necessary to communicate with the public (students, parents, staff, and faculty)
- Maintains, accesses, inputs, and retrieves data from the college departmental and external databases
- Attends staff meetings to exchange information and professional seminars and / or conferences to improve professional skill
- Assists other departments as necessary when assigned on any campus
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Must have good customer service skills
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer software programs
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a positive attitude
- Must have strong organizational skills, as well as effective oral and written communication
