Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, private residences, or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms by cleaning sinks, toilets, showers, and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Care for floors by sweeping, mopping, buffing, or polishing to ensure they remain spotless and well-maintained.
• Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, linens, and other supplies to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Follow established safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment to promote a safe working environment.
• Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly.
• Manage laundry services including washing, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms efficiently.
• Utilize janitorial equipment effectively for industrial cleaning tasks when necessary.
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans during scheduled intervals or as directed by management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or housekeeping—hotel experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (such as buffing or polishing) and industrial cleaning methods.
• Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service principles to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Ability to operate janitorial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying cleanliness issues or maintenance needs.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
• Effective communication skills for working collaboratively within a team environment.
• Prior experience in housekeeping management is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Base Pay: $12.50 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
