Responsibilities
- Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient testing and analysis
- Lead, mentor, and develop laboratory technicians and staff while fostering a culture of safety and quality
- Establish and maintain laboratory procedures, testing protocols, and quality assurance standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, OSHA regulations, and other applicable industry requirements
- Review and approve laboratory test results, reports, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate laboratory activities to support production, quality, research, and customer requirements
- Manage laboratory equipment, calibration schedules, maintenance, and inventory of supplies and chemicals
- Investigate quality concerns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitor laboratory KPIs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and testing accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field
- 5 years of laboratory experience, including leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems, testing methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience managing laboratory personnel, equipment, and daily operations
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
