One of our manufacturing clients is looking for a skilled Controls Technician to support the reliability, maintenance and optimization of automated production systems at their Ann Arbor, MI facility.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and automation systems
- Diagnose electrical, controls, and instrumentation issues to minimize production downtime
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial control systems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and automation equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical documentation
- Install, wire, test, and commission electrical control panels, sensors, motors, and instrumentation devices
- Support automation upgrades, equipment installations, and capital improvement projects
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and complete work orders using CMMS software
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years as a Controls Technician.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, HMI systems, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and industrial electrical systems
- Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment and electrical control circuits
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical drawings
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
