Senior Civil Engineer – Public Utilities

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Civil Engineer – Public Utilities position include:

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain NC licensure via reciprocity
• 5–10 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in municipal water/wastewater systems
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
• Hands-on design and project management of water and sewer line replacements and utility infrastructure
• Supervise and mentor 5 staff including TIS Analysts, Inspectors, and Technicians
• Review and approve subdivision and site plans; ensure compliance with city codes and standards
• Communicate with developers, contractors, public officials, and the general public
• Use AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other drafting or engineering software for technical planning

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
