Power Platform Engineer – Copilot Studio

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio to lead enterprise enablement, deployment, and support of AI-powered copilots and agents within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
This role is responsible for architecting and developing enterprise-grade copilots, building AI agents, integrating with critical business systems, and establishing governance frameworks that enable secure, scalable automation across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, Power Automate, and enterprise integrations, along with a proven track record of deploying agentic AI solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Copilot Studio & Platform Engineering
Design, build, and operationalize AI copilots and agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Integrate Copilot Studio Kit with NFCU Hygiene workflows.
Develop reusable platform assets including:
Prompt engineering templates
Plugin libraries
Agent architectures
Custom connectors
Modular agent components
Integrate Copilot Studio with Enterprise MCP Services to ensure seamless enterprise operations.
DevOps, ALM & Automation:
Architect and implement DevOps pipelines integrated with Power Platform CoE ALM applications and GitHub for automated deployments and environment management.
Automate Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes including CI/CD, testing, and release management for copilots, plugins, and connectors.
Streamline connection management and enable automated credential and password rotation.
Infrastructure & Operations:
Manage and optimize Virtual Network and Data Gateway infrastructure supporting Copilot Studio deployments.
Implement continuous monitoring, automated capacity management, and high-availability strategies.
Integrate monitoring platforms such as Sentinel, Defender, and Dynatrace for agent monitoring and anomaly detection.
Configure proactive alerts with automated remediation workflows and escalation procedures.
Governance, Security & Risk Controls:
Enforce governance, security, and compliance policies across copilots, agents, prompts, plugins, and connectors.
Manage recertification processes for bots, connectors, and knowledge sources.
Maintain full auditability of agent actions, prompt usage, and plugin execution.
Implement governance controls for user content propagation workflows.
Apply advanced risk mitigation measures including:
Hallucination detection
Sensitive data masking
Response filtering
Prompt injection protection
Reporting & Support:
Deliver customized reporting on agent inventory, performance, and effectiveness for stakeholders and executive leadership.
Establish and maintain a tiered enterprise support model including incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement feedback loops.
Adoption & Enablement:
Partner with business and product teams to identify and deliver high-value AI automation initiatives.
Provide technical leadership, best practices, mentorship, and enablement support to internal and partner development teams.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform:
Copilot Studio
Power Apps
Power Automate
Dataverse
Proven experience designing and managing DevOps pipelines integrated with Power Platform CoE ALM and GitHub.
Experience building reusable platform assets including prompt templates, plugin libraries, agent frameworks, and custom connectors.
Strong expertise integrating Power Platform and Copilot Studio with enterprise systems via REST APIs and custom connectors.
Deep understanding of governance, security, compliance, and recertification processes within Power Platform.
Experience managing infrastructure components including Virtual Networks and Data Gateways.
Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Sentinel, Defender, and Dynatrace.
Strong knowledge of AI risk controls including hallucination detection, data masking, prompt injection prevention, and audit logging.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing governance and recertification frameworks for agents, prompts, plugins, and connectors.
Familiarity with Azure OpenAI and generative AI services.
Advanced prompt engineering experience.
Experience building executive dashboards, reporting frameworks, and agent effectiveness metrics.
Background working in large-scale enterprise environments with complex ALM and DevOps ecosystems.
Experience implementing tiered support models and incident management processes.
Knowledge of Copilot Studio agentic AI architectures and orchestration patterns.
