Roles And Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Design & Construction Support department, ensuring efficient and effective daily operations
- Supervise and lead support staff, managing schedules to ensure full coverage from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET
- Proactively balance team workloads to support the needs of professional staff and departmental goals
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture that promotes accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Train, mentor, and develop team members, offering coaching and career development opportunities
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, deliver constructive feedback, and address performance concerns with professionalism and clarity
- Set and uphold clear expectations, ensuring adherence to company policies and high standards of conduct
- Monitor departmental workflow and make real-time adjustments to meet evolving business demands
- Lead the implementation of new programs, tools, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards through consistent oversight and process alignment
- Facilitate weekly team meetings to drive alignment, share updates, and reinforce departmental priorities
- Develop, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain and update internal process manuals and documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Review and approve GC bid packages, contracts, pay application workbooks, and invoice batches for accuracy and compliance
- Recommend and communicate procedural updates to improve efficiency and standardization
- Serve as a key liaison with cross-functional departments including Purchasing, Property Accounting, Tax, Facilities, and Legal
- Partner with the Legal team to ensure Design & Construction requirements are accurately reflected in all contracts
- Collaborate closely with Leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives
- Create, maintain, and track project financial reports to support budget management and decision-making
- Bachelor’s degree in management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry, role of project accountant, construction/project coordinator or a related field.
- Experience in supervising and managing teams.
- Familiarity with construction software and tools.
- Knowledge of legal requirements and regulations related to construction.
- Restaurant experience is a plus
- Knowledge of construction processes and best practices.
