What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alpha Counselor (4319) position at Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services?
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides services for individuals who are identified or have the potential for mental illness and/or substance abuse. These services include, but are not limited to, screenings, intakes and orientations; assessments, counseling, developing and monitoring treatment plans; case management education; report and record-keeping in accordance with regulations; crisis intervention and outreach services; consultation with other professionals and referrals; maintaining current knowledge; maintaining individual confidentiality; performing any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
M1: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Vocational Rehabilitation, Counseling, Sociology, or other approved Human Services field
OR
Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner in Virginia
M2: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$43,722 - $76,514
