What You’ll Be Doing
- Manages MRP requirements and Kanban levels for assigned commodities, generating and adjusting purchase and shop work orders to support production schedules.
- Communicates forecasted material needs to suppliers and monitors supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Resolves quality, delivery, or cost issues by collaborating with Suppliers, Quality, Strategic Sourcing, and Engineering.
- Implements pull-based material replenishment processes (e.g., Kanban, vendor-managed inventory) to improve inventory turns, reduce cycle times, and enhance customer on-time delivery.
- Supports resourcing and outsourcing projects to maintain uninterrupted product flow.
- Assists with new product introductions, proposals, and subcontracting opportunities.
- 2 years of related experience in similar roles
- BS/BA in Business or technical field
- Direct experience implementing lean concepts
- We value CPIM, CSCP, APICS, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma Green Belt certifications.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft office suite software (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, MS project, etc.).
- Knowledge of supplier and component qualification processes.
