A client in the Greater Boston area is seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant to join their team. This role is fully onsite and reports directly to the Director of Payroll. The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for end-to-end payroll accounting functions for a multi-state payroll of 300 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional internal customer service.

• Process and support multi-state payroll for 300 employees using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)

• Perform all payroll accounting functions, including journal entries, adjustments, and accruals

• Complete payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

• Reconcile benefits, 401(k), and related payroll accounts

• Review payroll and benefit-related general ledger accounts for accuracy

• Prepare payroll-related reports and support audits as needed

• Provide high-level customer service to employees across all U.S. time zones

• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting strict payroll deadlines

• Partner with HR, Accounting, and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• OR10 years of experience in Payroll Accounting

• Strong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN)

• Advanced Excel skills and strong payroll reporting experience

• Solid understanding of payroll accounting, reconciliations, and benefits accounting

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and customer service skills
