Our client, a rapidly growing software company located Southwest of Boston, seeks a Controller to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Own month-end close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
- Build and scale accounting processes for growth
- Manage audit process and external auditors
- Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and GL
- Support FP&A, budgeting, and board reporting
- Implement/improve systems (ERP, billing, revenue recognition)
- Ensure SaaS metrics are accurate (ARR, deferred revenue, etc.).
- Build and mentor a small but growing accounting team
- 6–10 years of experience (mix of public accounting industry preferred)
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience in SaaS/software companies
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Experience in high-growth or startup environments
- Systems experience (Currently using QuickBooks Pro, but looking to upgrade systems in the near future)
