Senior Accountant - Real Estate
We are currently seeking candidates for a Senior Accountant role with a well-established real estate firm located north of Boston. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for producing monthly financial statements, managing month-end and quarter-end close processes, and supporting ongoing accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of YARDI experience within the real estate industry.
This is a contract-to-hire position paying $38-43/hour (depending on experience).
This role supports a work model of 5 days onsite and offers a convenient commute, with the office accessible via the Commuter Rail.
Responsibilities:
• Produce monthly financial statements and support financial reporting initiatives
• Manage Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End close processes
• Support general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Assist with system enhancements and workflow improvements
• Collaborate closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams
• Ensure accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions
• Provide additional support as needed
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of YARDI experience within real estate (required)
• Strong experience with financial reporting and period-end close processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with a YARDI system conversion is a plus
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
