Our client, a leading hedge fund in Boston, is looking to add a Senior Finance Associate to their growing team. This person will gain direct exposure to both the management company and fund-level financials, while partnering closely with investment, compliance, and operations teams. This person will be involved in financial reporting, fund accounting, and audit support, and will help drive process improvements as the firm continues to grow.
Responsibilities:

This person will gain direct exposure to both the management company and fund-level financials, while partnering closely with investment, compliance, and operations teams. This person will be involved in financial reporting, fund accounting, and audit support, and will help drive process improvements as the firm continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the management company and related entities
- Support fund-level accounting processes, including expense allocations, accruals, and reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with audit preparation, including schedules, documentation, and responses
- Support regulatory and compliance-related financial reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
- Help implement system enhancements or process automation initiatives as the firm grows
- Partner with compliance, investor relations, and investment teams on financial matters
- Support new initiatives, fund launches, or business growth activities as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally public or public/private mix
- Asset management / financial services experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Advanced Excel; experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks) a plus
- CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
$100-120K base salary, dependent on experience
