Position Overview
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, configuration, reporting, and optimization of the UKG Pro Suite and related HR systems. This role ensures the accuracy, security, and reliability of HR data across the employee lifecycle and partners closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT to support system integrations, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement.
This position requires strong technical aptitude, deep UKG Pro system expertise, and a solid understanding of HR processes and regulatory requirements.
This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with Wednesday and Friday designated as remote workdays. While this schedule is typical, team or business needs may require additional onsite days. Occasional off‑hours support may be required during critical maintenance, system releases, or issue resolution.
Responsibilities
HRIS Administration & System Configuration
- Serve as a primary system administrator for the UKG Pro Suite, including Core HR, WFM/Timekeeping, Cognos (BI), Recruiting, Benefits Hub, and Shiftboard
- Configure and maintain workflows, business rules, security roles, and system tables
- Support system upgrades, releases, and enhancements, including testing and validation
- Ensure data integrity through audits, controls, and reconciliation processes
Integrations & Technical Support
- Manage and troubleshoot SFTP and API integrations between UKG and downstream/upstream systems (payroll, benefits carriers, vendors, BI tools)
- Monitor file feeds, resolve errors, and coordinate with vendors and IT on data exchanges
- Support technical issue resolution related to system performance, access, and data flow
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using UKG Cognos (BI)
- Support ad-hoc and recurring reporting needs for HR, Payroll, Benefits
- Utilize advanced Excel (including macros) to analyze, validate, and transform HR data
- Apply basic SQL knowledge to support data validation and reporting logic
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Partner with HR stakeholders to translate business requirements into system solutions
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved self‑service functionality
- Create and maintain system documentation, job aids, and process flows
- Support HRIS training and change management initiatives as needed
Compliance & Data Governance
- Ensure HRIS processes and data align with HR laws, regulations, and best practices (e.g., wage and hour, data privacy, record retention)
- Support audits and compliance reporting by maintaining accurate system records
- Maintain appropriate access controls and data security standards

Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of hands‑on UKG Pro Suite system administration experience, including Core HR, WFM/Timekeeping, Cognos (BI), Recruiting, Benefits Hub, and Shiftboard
- Strong experience with SFTP and API connections
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and macros
- Basic coding experience (e.g., VBA, batch scripting, or similar)
- Basic SQL knowledge for data queries and validation
- HTML experience (for reporting, templates, or system content as applicable)
- Solid knowledge of Human Resources laws, regulations, and best practices
- Proven ability to manage complex systems in a deadline‑driven, payroll‑sensitive environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting timekeeping and scheduling in an hourly or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with integrations to payroll, benefits carriers, and financial systems
- Experience supporting system implementations or major upgrades
- Strong documentation and process‑mapping skills
