Daily's Premium Meats, PM Shift, Press Department (Montana Site)

SUMMARY: Serves as a Production Press Worker in all stages of Press production by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Follow proper department procedures outlined in Seaboard training manuals:

• Understand bacon specification requirements to ensure quality.
• Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Department Leads.
• Follow Daily’s attendance and punctuality rules.
• Follow all Daily’s food security guidelines.
• Follow all Dailys Safety guidelines as outlined in the Safety Handbook.
  
  

Assist Department Supervisor and Team Members in meeting production and quality requirements by doing the following. (Additional duties may be assigned.)

• Maintain accurate counts.
• Adhere to product specifications.
• Work at a pace consistent with the required line speed.
• Keeping accurate records as needed.
• Strict compliance with sanitation requirements.
• Minimize scrap at all times.
  
  

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The Employee must be able to stand/walk 100% of shift, must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to work with both left and right arms/hands for reaching, grasping and fine manipulation. Must be able to bend, kneel and squat with body. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but sometimes very loud.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Typical hours will be Monday-Friday, 2:50pm-11:30pm with two required Saturday's a month.
