Summary
The Precook PPO Operator works with raw and cooked bacon as general labor and completes any duties as assigned. Provides day-to-day assistance to Supervisor/Management in meeting production and quality requirements. Operates Precook PPO and Column Dumper machinery including set up, changing settings, and minor troubleshooting.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Must consistently follow company rules and procedures and ensure consistency with product specifications. Understand proper dicing procedures and packaging of product. Responsible for understanding Daily’s GMPs and safety requirements. Able to adhere to specifications. Must have superior attendance record.
Language Skills
Must be able to communicate verbally, read, and write in English. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos required.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills including ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Capability of working with and calculating percentages
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Performs a variety of tasks that require manual material handling and the use of hand tools, knives, hooks, machinery, and equipment. Continuously lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to wear all appropriate PPE while in production area such as smock, steel toed boots, hard hat, hair net, ear plugs, and safety glasses. Standing/walking on concrete floors for up to 10 hours per day, 6 days per week. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the Precook PPO Operator works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to cold, wet, and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment may be at or above 85 db.

Provides day-to-day assistance to Supervisor/Management in meeting production and quality requirements. Operates Precook PPO and Column Dumper machinery including set up, changing settings, and minor troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for daily equipment set up, pre-operational checklist, program selection, center-lining, and setting adjustments
- Identify issues affecting production and report it to Management
- Performs general duties such as HMI operation, system calibration, Column Dumper operation, etc.
- Troubleshoot minor technical issues and convey information to management
- Ensures finished products meet quality and food safety specifications
- Inspect foreign material rejected from the PPO system
- Constant review of Insights on an I-Pad
- Escalate foreign material findings to Quality Assurance personnel and Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Maintains accurate records, completes production audits and paperwork on required schedule
- Follows production schedule to ensure timely completion of orders
- Follow all GMP requirements when working and transferring between Slicer, Print &Apply , and Precook areas to avoid any potential cross-contamination
- Complete assigned daily tasks on time
- Guide and train other associates
- Other duties as assigned
