Position Summary📒:
A CA-based premier labor and employment defense law practice with over 120 attorneys and 5 California offices, is seeking a Manager of Practice Growth & Strategy (Business Intelligence) to join their dynamic Marketing/Practice Growthy & Strategy (Business Intelligence) Department.
The Manager of Practice Growth & Strategy/Intelligence supports the firm’s revenue growth by strengthening practice group planning, enhancing client engagement strategies, and improving the use of data to inform business development decisions.
This role works closely with the Director of Marketing and Training, Business Development Manager, and Director of Practice Administration to identify growth opportunities, support practice group initiatives, and advance the firm’s use of client and market intelligence.
The position emphasizes a business-focused approach to growth, including client retention, targeted expansion of the firm’s client base, and effective use of systems and processes that support long-term success.
Key Responsibilities🖊:
Practice Group Growth:
- Support Practice Group Leaders in identifying and advancing client retention and growth opportunities
- Assist in developing and executing practice group plans aligned with firm priorities
- Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients and re-engage former clients
Client & Market Intelligence (REQUIRED):
- Analyze client, revenue, and engagement data to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Leverage CRM and related systems to support targeting, cross-selling, and strategic decision-making
- Provide actionable insights to guide business development priorities and resource allocation
Business Development Support:
- Evaluate conferences, sponsorships, and industry opportunities to ensure alignment with firm strategy
- Support targeted client development initiatives in coordination with the Business Development Manager
- Partner with the Business Development Manager to evaluate business development efforts and drive strategic improvements
Client Engagement:
- Align training and professional education programs with practice group and client development goals
- Support planning and evaluation of programs to enhance client engagement and market presence
RFP & Proposal Support:
- Assist in the preparation of RFPs, RFIs, and other client-facing materials
- Manage and enhance proposal development processes to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality output
Systems and Process Improvement:
- Support CRM utilization and development of reporting tools and dashboards
- Manage CRM utilization and reporting tools, including dashboards, to support business insights
- Partner with cross-functional teams to lead continuous process improvements that enhance efficiency and coordination
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and develop a small team supporting marketing and training functions
- Promote collaboration and ensure alignment with firm priorities
Qualifications🗝:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of progressive law firm experience in a marketing, business development, business intelligence role is REQUIRED/MANDATORY.
- Strong understanding of law firm structure, practice group operations, and client development.
- Experience with CRM systems preferred and data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Annual Compensation/Salary💵 & Benefits:
