Seeking a Senior Systems Architect to lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle support of enterprise technology platforms, with a strong emphasis on Linux-based environments. This is a highly technical position and requires broad expertise across infrastructure, networking, security, and systems optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Document work activities, systems updates, resolutions, and project notes within the enterprise ticketing platform.
- Develop and execute both long-term architectural strategies and short-term tactical plans.
- Implement high-risk changes with precision and discipline to minimize disruption.
- Appy and maintain security controls aligned to compliance frameworks (PCI, DSS).
- Rapidly adapt to evolving business and technology needs, recommending and implementing relevant solutions.
- Maintain and enhance system documentation, policies, diagrams, and procedures to reflect current engineering standards.
- Define project requirements and review vendor statements of work for initiatives.
- Gather technical requirements and assess vendor deliverables, including reviewing statements of work (SOWs)
- Carry out system upgrades, migrations, and replacements prior to end-of-support deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology with 5 years of professional experience experience.
- 6 years experience managing virtualized infrastructure environments, including private and/or public cloud infrastructure.
- Deep expertise in hyper-converged platforms and enterprise storage technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of modern threat protection tools and application firewalls (WAF solutions).
- Advanced understanding of network infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, switching, and software-defined networking.
- Understanding of site reliability engineering (SRE) concepts and resilience practices (fault injection, chaos testing).
- Experience with site reliability engineering practices and chaos engineering methodologies.
- Expertise with enterprise applications, middleware, servers, and load balancing solutions.
- Proven ability to scale systems both horizontally and vertically.
- Familiarity with structured change management processes.
- Willingness to participate in 24x7 on call rotation support.
