General Overview
Join the IT team as a Software Developer, where you’ll be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and deploying software programs and applications. This role involves researching, documenting, and refining software specifications throughout the production lifecycle, as well as identifying and resolving software issues.
Responsibilities
- Apply industry best practices, architectural standards, and departmental procedures to all development tasks
- Proactively recommend improvements to systems, workflows, and development processes
- Design and implement integration solutions with third-party vendors
- Lead and participate in enterprise projects using Guidewire ClaimCenter
- Utilize your knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for application development, support, and maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new development and system enhancements
- Ensure that technical solutions align with business needs and user requirements
- Develop, test, and deploy code into designated environments
- Create and maintain technical documentation for design and code changes
- Debug, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user applications
- Participate in business workshops and contribute configuration expertise
- Develop and consume web services for system integrations
- Guidewire ClaimCenter Associate certification (or higher)
- 3–5 years of hands-on Guidewire development experience
- Proficiency in Guidewire Cloud, GOSU, PCF, and data modeling; ability to design and build integrations with external systems and cloud services
- Strong knowledge of secure development practices, APIs, data transformation (XML/JSON), and version control tools like GitHub
- Familiarity with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server) and a solid understanding of insurance and claims processes
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of Spring Framework, HTML, CSS, and Angular
