How You'll Make An Impact
- Working with a global team, the Environmental Health & Safety Specialist (EHS) III will support the occupational and environmental health and safety programs for our R&D, manufacturing, and distribution activities in northern California, in and around Hercules, California.
- Under the leadership of the Northern California EHS Manager, this position will be responsible for:
- Coordination of onsite occupational safety programs related to lock out / tag out, industrial ergonomics, hazard communication and chemical management, bio-safety, etc.
- Management of environmental safety programs related to storm water, air quality, chemical storage and management, hazardous waste, etc.
- Leading onsite safety teams, including emergency response teams and safety committees.
- Coordinating EHS activities at multiple sites to drive improvements in safety culture and sustainability.
- Developing and delivering appropriate safety training.
- Providing support for manufacturing and regulatory departments through process or materials reviews and product safety data sheet development as requested.
- Leading accident investigations to identify proper corrective actions or solutions.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, including safety and health, engineering, biology, or chemistry
- Work Experience: 5 years of work experience in occupational and environmental safety and health
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements such as Cal/OSHA and EPA. Experience with local and county regulatory requirements a plus
- Skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook
- The ability to effectively shift priorities and work at a rapid pace is required
- Experience with SAP and other software such as PowerBI, Docusign, Smartsheets or UL Wercs is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
$50-$71/hour
