Position: Admissions Coordinator
Location: Queens, New York
Shift: Full-Time | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 (commensurate with experience)

Cypress Garden Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Admissions Coordinator to support our admissions operations, foster strong community partnerships, and ensure a smooth, compassionate transition into care.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary liaison between hospitals, referral sources, and the facility to ensure timely admissions.
Coordinate and resolve issues that may delay or impact the admissions process.
Partner with the marketing team to expand referral sources and increase visibility within the community.
Conduct facility tours and provide education to prospective residents and families.
Build and maintain positive relationships with hospitals, physicians, and community partners.
Perform financial verifications and confirm eligibility prior to admission.
Stay current with Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement requirements.
Track, analyze, and report monthly admissions statistics to leadership.
Required:
1–2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) admissions department.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and various insurance plans.
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Familiarity with CMS and Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred:
Existing relationships with Queens-area hospitals and healthcare providers.
Prior admissions or marketing experience in post-acute care.
