Admissions Coordinator Job Summary:
Coordinate and facilitate admissions to our facility.
Maintain contact with residents and families regarding potential admissions.
Conduct interviews and tours of the facility.
Verify resident insurance.
Educate family members and prospective residents regarding services
Generate new referrals by establishing relationships social workers, case managers and other appropriate professional contacts within hospital or other accounts.
Maintain current knowledge and understanding of client payment sources, i.e. HMO, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
Complete Admission Agreements
Admissions Coordinator Qualifications:
Previous experience in Long-Term Care required.
Knowledge and experience with various insurances required.
Must be a self-starter, skilled communicator and positive motivator.
Must be able to organize and prioritize many tasks effectively.
