Position: Admissions Coordinator
Location: Queens, New York
Shift: Full-Time | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 (commensurate with experience)

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for guiding individuals and families through the admissions process? Cypress Garden Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Admissions Coordinator to support our admissions operations, foster strong community partnerships, and ensure a smooth, compassionate transition into care.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between hospitals, referral sources, and the facility to ensure timely admissions.

• Coordinate and resolve issues that may delay or impact the admissions process.

• Partner with the marketing team to expand referral sources and increase visibility within the community.

• Conduct facility tours and provide education to prospective residents and families.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with hospitals, physicians, and community partners.

• Perform financial verifications and confirm eligibility prior to admission.

• Stay current with Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement requirements.

• Track, analyze, and report monthly admissions statistics to leadership.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) admissions department.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and various insurance plans.

  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

  • Familiarity with CMS and Department of Health (DOH) regulations.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Preferred:

  • Existing relationships with Queens-area hospitals and healthcare providers.

  • Prior admissions or marketing experience in post-acute care.
