Overview
The IT Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth technology operations across the organization. This position provides hands-on support to all employees, contractors, and interns by resolving help desk tickets, managing hardware and software assets, and supporting company systems and collaboration tools. The role ensures that users have reliable access to the technology and equipment they need to perform their work effectively.
Responsibilities
Help Desk & Technical Support
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets for all employees, contractors, and interns.
- Provide troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain detailed documentation of issues and resolutions.
- Manage PC setup, imaging, and shipping for all new hires (onboarding) and PC refresh cycles.
- Process PC returns and ensure accurate asset tracking and inventory management.
- Support and maintain PC equipment and peripherals across all teams.
- Manage the PC asset management lifecycle.
- Install and configure user applications, including specialized software for Field Service Technicians.
- Support deployment and configuration through Microsoft Autopilot.
- Manage user access and software license compliance.
- Provide technical support for Zoom Rooms, meeting room systems, and audio/visual setups.
- Support printer configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Assist with employee badging systems and related access controls.
- Manage and support mobile devices for Field Service Technicians, ensuring proper configuration and security compliance.
- 0-1 years of experience in IT support or a similar role - ideal for recent/upcoming grads or early career professionals.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
- Experience with hardware setup, device management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune/Autopilot), and asset tracking systems.
- Familiarity with video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom) and printer management.
- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
