Workers Compensation Defense Attorney
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Workers Compensation Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law and will be responsible for defending employers and insurance companies against claims made by injured workers. The attorney will work to ensure that our clients' interests are protected while navigating complex legal challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in workers' compensation hearings and trials
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Negotiate settlements with opposing parties when appropriate
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding workers' compensation claims
- Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in workers' compensation defense
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
