Tax Senior or Tax Manager - we are open to a Tax Manager at a higher rate! 

Location: Woodstock, Vermont - hybrid! 

Position Overview
Based in the Woodstock, VT, we are a reputable, mid-sized CPA firm. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic team in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing tax services to our clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while optimizing their tax strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of various tax entities and the ability to deliver exceptional consulting and planning services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, C-Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary entities.
• Conduct tax planning and consulting for clients to minimize tax liabilities and enhance compliance.
• Perform multi-state income tax analysis and ensure proper filing for clients across different jurisdictions.
• Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Utilize CCH tax software and QuickBooks Online for accurate tax preparation and record-keeping.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and documents for tax filings.
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies that align with clients' financial goals.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior tax associates and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in tax preparation, planning, and consulting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. income tax, including multi-state income tax regulations.
• Experience with C-Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary tax returns.
• Proficient in using CCH tax software and QuickBooks Online.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) highly preferred.

• Base salary: $75,000 - $90,000 base - open to a Manager at a higher rate
