We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our finance team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities, ensuring adherence to tax regulations while optimizing the tax position of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Oversee tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize benefits.
- Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes in tax legislation.
- Coordinate and review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance on complex tax issues.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data for accurate tax reporting.
- Assist with audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience in public accounting is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
