Superintendent

We are a regional mechanical contractor with a long history of working on major commercial and industrial projects across the Gulf South. Our team focuses on complex HVAC and plumbing systems for large scale facilities like hospitals, sports arenas, and military bases. We use our own fabrication shops and advanced modeling to handle the technical details of every build. We are looking for a field leader who values quality work and wants to be part of an established team that has been building in the region for decades.

The superintendent will lead our field crews and manage subcontractors to ensure our mechanical and plumbing installations stay on schedule. This role involves overseeing daily operations on the job site, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining strict safety protocols. We need someone who can manage labor and project costs effectively while coordinating with general contractors and other trades. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial mechanical construction and a track record of getting projects across the finish line.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage MEP construction activities on-site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all MEP systems are installed according to project specifications.
• Develop and maintain MEP project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Review and approve MEP shop drawings and submittals.
• Prepare reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving MEP-related issues during construction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an MEP Superintendent or similar role in construction.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction processes.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications in construction management or MEP systems are a plus.
