Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations and deliver high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent will oversee daily construction activities across public works, education, healthcare, and commercial projects, ensuring safety, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and clear client communication. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple trades and project stakeholders in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout for public works, education, healthcare, and commercial projects.
• Manage daily schedules, coordinate subcontractors and trades, and ensure work progresses according to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Enforce strict safety protocols and maintain OSHA-compliant jobsite conditions, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Perform quality control inspections, monitor workmanship, and implement corrective actions to meet contract standards and client expectations.
• Review plans, submittals, RFIs, and change orders; communicate necessary adjustments to project teams and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and owners to resolve site issues and maintain open lines of communication.
• Track and report project progress, costs, labor, equipment usage, and material deliveries; prepare daily logs and weekly status reports.
• Manage scheduling and sequencing of work to minimize disruptions and maintain productivity on multi-phased or occupied sites.
• Mentor and supervise field personnel, including foremen and craft workers, fostering a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, permit requirements, and contractual obligations; facilitate inspections and obtain necessary sign-offs for project milestones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of field construction experience, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent or lead field role.
• Proven experience managing projects in public works, education, healthcare, or commercial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling software, and site safety standards (OSHA).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience with project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and submittal logs.
• Valid drivers license; construction-related certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, NCCER) preferred.
• Ability to work in variable jobsite conditions and travel between project sites as required.
