This fast-growing steel fabricator startup with $5M in annual revenue is hiring a senior estimator to help accelerate our growth and become the steel-fabrication shop of choice for infrastructure companies around the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for structural steel projects.
• Conduct takeoffs to determine the quantity and type of materials required for each project.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Utilize cost estimation software and tools to aid in the estimation process.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations of estimates for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends and prices for materials to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
• Assist in budget management and procurement processes for steel materials.
• Support the supply chain management team in sourcing materials and negotiating with vendors.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years structural steel estimating experience
• Tekla, Bluebeam, BidWizard, and/or Etakeoff experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
