Sr Firmware Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sr Firmware Engineer to lead the design and development of embedded firmware for our innovative products. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in embedded systems to create efficient and reliable firmware that meets our performance and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for various devices
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate firmware with hardware components
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers
- Troubleshoot and debug firmware issues in a timely manner
- Document firmware specifications and design processes
- Implement best practices for firmware development, including version control and testing methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 10 years of programming embedded devices
- 5 years in Embedded C programming
- 5 years developing measurement / scientific instrumentation
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably SVN
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
