Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to lead our tax department. The ideal candidate will oversee tax compliance, planning, and reporting for high-net-worth individuals and corporations, ensuring adherence to tax regulations and maximizing tax efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the tax compliance and preparation process for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
- Review and oversee tax returns including Form 1040, 1065, 1120, 1041, and 1031 exchanges.
- Provide strategic tax planning services and guidance for high-net-worth individuals (HNWI).
- Collaborate with clients to understand their tax needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Conduct tax research to stay updated on tax laws and regulations, and implement changes as necessary.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and financial statement disclosures for corporate clients.
- Assist clients with audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and corporate tax.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax compliance, tax preparation, and tax review processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
