Senior Data Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our data architecture, ensuring a seamless flow of data across various platforms. This role is crucial for leveraging big data technologies and ensuring data quality for analytics and machine learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and transformation.
• Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions to optimize data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs and provide insights.
• Utilize big data technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache Hadoop for data processing.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) to manage and deploy data solutions.
• Implement data modeling techniques to create optimal data structures for analytics.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
• Advise on best practices for data architecture and management across the organization.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with APIs, orchestration tools, and data automation
• Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, and BigQuery
• Familiarity with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Hadoop)
• Proficient with Python and SQL
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and data analysis techniques
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes)
