What You'll DoAs a Senior Automation & Controls Engineer, you'll be the driving force behind the design and execution of complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. From concept to commissioning, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver high-impact solutions that power some of the most advanced facilities in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of automation and controls design-from front-end engineering to startup and commissioning
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, specialists, and designers across multiple disciplines
- Develop and implement software solutions including PLC, HMI, Batch, MES, and virtualization platforms
- Design control systems including panel layouts, hardware specs, I/O lists, and installation details
- Oversee vendor selection, procurement, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Collaborate with process engineers to define instrumentation protocols and ensure seamless integration
- Interface directly with clients, vendors, and construction teams to ensure project success
- Conduct quality reviews, manage budgets, and support business development initiatives
- Travel to job sites (~30%) for surveys, installations, and commissioning leadership

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (ABET accredited)
- 6 years of experience in electrical engineering and EPC project execution
- Strong command of ANSI, IEEE, NFPA, ISA, IEC, UL508A standards
- Expertise in control systems: Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Modicon, Opto22, Mitsubishi, Triconex
- SCADA experience with FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition (Ignition Software a plus)
- MES design experience (PTC ThingWorx, Sepasoft, Parsec TrakSYS preferred)
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards: ISO13849, ISA/IEC 61511
- Proficiency in tools like SISTEMA, CCW, IAB, BatchSIM, PlantSIM
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- TWIC eligibility required; PE license preferred
