Senior Backend/Data Engineer

We are an audience intelligence company, delivering curated data and analytics for the modern media & marketing landscape. Our technology stack leverages AI & ML to organize and analyze billions of consumer data points from across the major social & video platforms daily. This powerful data set augments predictive models, advanced analytics, and content strategy efforts. 

What you will be doing: 

-Own substantial portions of the technical platform such as the web application, API server or data pipeline. This will include planning, development, deployment and operational support 

-Participate in the design, development, unit tests and implementation of distributed applications and microservices 

-Communicate estimates, designs and work plans to team and work collaboratively to come up with the best solution considering given constraints 

-Build and maintain solutions conformant to enterprise standards, architecture and technologies 

-Utilize GenAI platforms and capabilities such as semantic search, prompt & tooling library, workflow management & orchestration, LLM gateway, real-time/proactive response generation 

What you need: 

-5 years proven experience in backend/data in fast-paced, high-performance environments, working as a software engineer / developer 

-Experience designing for scalability and performance, creating benchmark tests and designing or integrating large-scale systems 

-Experience designing and developing interface contracts between applications, services, external vendors and workflow processes 

-Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles, with proficiency in languages like Java or Python or Scala

-Work with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and big data tools (e.g., Databricks, PySpark) to develop AI solutions 

-Strong focus on automation & CI/CD and experience in building DevOps pipelines for build; experience with deployment of applications using AWS Cloud Formation/Ansible/Terraform on AWS a plus 

-Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, related technical field or related work experience
