Quality Inspector

Position Overview

The Quality Inspector supports manufacturing and product development teams by performing incoming, in process, and final inspections on components and finished products. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements for both commercial and government programs. The position is hands-on and detail oriented, supporting daily production while maintaining compliance with established quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections on materials and components to verify compliance with specifications.
• Conduct in process and final inspections of manufactured products.
• Verify that materials and finished goods meet quality standards, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Ensure inspections are performed in accordance with company procedures and ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system requirements.
• Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming material.
• Generate nonconformance reports and support corrective action processes.
• Assist with supplier quality initiatives, including inspection support and documentation review.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering teams to support production and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Proficiency with basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• U.S. Person status required due to ITAR and export control requirements.
