Assistant Project Manager - Owner's Representative

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Project Manager to act as the Owner's Representative for our commercial construction projects in Rhode Island. The ideal candidate will oversee project execution, ensuring that client objectives are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate between stakeholders, contractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the client and the construction team.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, addressing any concerns promptly.
• Facilitate communication among all parties involved, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.
• Review and approve design documents, change orders, and contractor invoices.
• Implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 4 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer or APM for commercial construction projects in the Rhode Island market strongly preferred. 
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and contract administration.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex project documents and drawings.
• Familiarity with general contracting principles and commercial construction practices is a plus.
